Curiosity Killed the Cat…

…And satisfaction brought it back. I’ve been wondering who reads this blog and why and if I know you and all that good stuff. So just this once can you humor me with a comment. I’m dreadful at commenting on other people’s blogs, so I don’t fault you for not commenting on mine. But please, just this once?

There, now that I have that out of my system I’ll post these pictures of Havilah and the mop bucket:

Thanks for reading, my rambles and keeping me in your prayers.

why: love keeping up with all kandid kauffman konnections, like to keep up with your prayer needs, like your mommy-thoughts and dealing-with-life thoughts. We are not in a different culture, but we are on a mission as well. I tell my children about you so they can know you and pray, too. Your openness encourages me, your thoughts make me feel a kinship.

I know. I could do some encouraging myself my writing more comments. :-)

  7. :-) You're so much like me, Lisl, thought I've never really been brave enough to do it on my blog. Your blog is in my RSS feed, so I read it *soon* after you post. ;-) I enjoy it lots, so keep it up!

  10. :) I read your blog too, Lisl. We're both on the same side of the world, and often I can relate to things that you'll write, even though I'm not a wife or a mother. Do take care; I'd still like to visit you in Thailand!

  15. I read your blog even though I don't know you at all. My husband and I live in Ireland, and I love reading about other Mennonite moms outside America, and find that even though the cultures we're in are very different, I have many things in common with you. I like your honesty about parenting struggles, "adapting" struggles, etc. I hope you have a refreshing time with your family in the states!

  19. I read it...and even though we are related, I think I've only met you once, at a Ladies Retreat in Intl Falls. Your honesty about your struggles as a young mom is refreshing and I connect with that...as a mom of a 1 1/2 year old. I always get here from your mom's blog but maybe I will have to subscribe, she probably thinks I am stalking her! :)

  22. I read too! I think we are second cousins or something, but I don't know that we have ever met. Your posts about motherhood resonate with me, since I am in the thick of it as well. I have three littles; the oldest is four. Blessings to you!

  23. I'm an old friend of your Aunt Amy's and I found your blog from hers. I enjoy your honesty. Mothering isn't for cowards, but if nothing else, we learn how much we need the Father.

  24. I do! Visiting you has been a dream ever since you left - maybe always will be, but I love "hearing" about your life and seeing your pictures. Thanks for being brave enough to be honest about life - blessings! ~Joelle

  26. Just found your blog and am really enjoying getting to know you. Your probably wondering who I am; so let me fill you in on me, since I know who you are. I am Lena Kauffman, Norv and Sharon's sis-in-law. We have never met that I know of. I also go to a BMI church that supports you and Dru (Living Word). Your life sounds interesting and scary; not in a bad way, just different. You have a beautiful family. Will probably keep coming back to see what your up to. I am also terrible at responding to other people's blogs; but sure do enjoy them; so keep up the awesome work.

  27. I'm not exactly sure how i stumbled across your blog. Maybe through Craig and Rachel's? My family lived in Liberia for 4 years and Craig was with us a lot while he was there for six months. I love other cultures so I find your blog fascinating. Interesting side-note, I was with Pastor Kiat and Neung (sp??) at Faith Builders. We really enjoyed them and the perspective they lent to the group. I pitied them with our food though. Neung let me try her hot pepper spice with dried fish. She spiced up her food with that a lot. Neat connections, and I enjoy your blog!
